91748, Hmm. I sense madness in your keystrokes.

I mean, if you're going to come to someone's
rescue, don't be mad about it.

Remember: I didn't direct that shitty film.

Tarantino did.

Lol.

>no. that's not what i said.
>
>you said that you had NEVER heard ANYONE praise the music,
>when that was one of the main things that was praised.

Lol.

Wrong.

I was talking about within the context of this post,
and was talking about people using it as a *specific*
reason why they liked the film.

I've heard people PRAISE all kinds of movie music,
just like I PRAISE the 'Glory' score/soundtrack.

Problem is, when I explain WHY I LIKE THE MOVIE
'GLORY', I don't say "because it had a good soundtrack."

That'd be bullshit.

I like it because its a fantastic fucking movie.

>in fact, for a long time it became a cliche to associate Pulp
>with jheri-curl wigs, black suits and cool tunes by Dusty
>Springfield and Urge Overkill

You just ethered yourself, again.

When people are discussing why they like 'Pulp Fiction'
do they say:

"Because of the Jheri Curls and black suits"

No, they don't.

Because neither of those things should be pointed
out, by a rational person, as specific reasons why
it was a good film.

Same thing with the music.

Music is great, and can really do a lot. Just like
wigs and black suits can add a lot.

They're not, however, the REASON why a film is good.

And Damaja saying that the film had a "Brilliant"
use of music is stupid, and its not even what YOU
ARE SAYING.

YOU'RE just saying it had a good soundtrack.

That dude is saying the ACTUAL FILM USED MUSIC
IN A BRILLIANT WAY AND THIS is a REASON WHY
the film is GOOD.

So you and him aren't even agreeing.

LOL.

I mean, if you're going to defend your boyfriend,
at least be on the same page.

I mean, even in the case of 'Do the Right Thing'
which actually DID use music in a creative, cool
way, I WOULDN'T USE IT AS A REASON WHY I LIKE
THE FILM.

'Do the Right Thing' is good because its good.

Not because of its use of music.

>in addition, that soundtrack made a whole generation of white
>people discover Al Green and Kool & the Gang's "funky"
>period.

Can't comment on white people.

That's an irrelevant and stupid point, and to be honest,
I don't give a fuck, and am not about to give Tarantino
credit for making white people listen to Al Green.

Sounds to me like another manufactured reason to
like this film("It opened the eyes of ignorant ass
white people")

No, thank you.

Next.

>you said that Damaja was "inventing" the praise for the
>soundtrack.

No, Einstein.

I said he was inventing a REASON to LIKE THE
MOVIE.

NOT A SINGLE PERSON in this thread has pointed
to the soundtrack as a SPECIFIC reason why
they liked the movie.

That would be stupid, and retarded, which is
why sensible people don't do it.

>your feelings about the movie itself have nothing to do with
>anything... you were just wrong.

Hmm. You almost sound sorta almost convincing.

Almost.

Lol.
>i'm glad you've graciously revealed your cognitive process for
>us.

I'm transparent, dunny.

>so basically... it's safe to assume that most--if not all--of
>your knowledge/opinions of Pulp Fiction are based pretty much
>on what OTHER people say about it, specifically people in
>PTP.

Oh, no -- I'm actually being FAIR.

I'm using quotes and arguments that we can ACTUALLY
REFERENCE as opposed to some hypothetical argument
that someone made on website X, and Y.

That's why I argue so well -- I use shit that people
on these boards have actually said. It gives my
arguments more credence.

Next.

>me neither... but considering the fact that i associate with
>other humans, i sometimes am privy to their particular tastes
>and propensities.

Well, for one, I don't know what type of music
is popular in Northwest Guam, or amongst
Neo Nazi's, or in the gay community of
Long Beach.

So, despite the fact that I associate with other
human beings, there are a lot of opinions I don't
know, nor give a fuck about.

And what artsy fartsy hipsters have in their
CD collection qualifies as something I don't give
a fuck about.

In which case my alleged ignorance of how popular
the Soundtrack to 'Pulp Fiction' was makes perfect
sense....especially when you consider that I only
brought it up in the context of it being used(manufactured)
as a *specific* reason why people like the film.
