>Well, most famously the original and elegant use of timeshift

You mean, that some characters appeared in different
stories and that the stories were out of order.

Don't see what's so good about that.

>Add to that the
>foregrounding of conversational dialogue which allowed the

>humour

Funny lines and catchy dialogue.

Still don't see what's so "nuanced" about the characters.

Just because Travolta and Jackson discuss the Netherlands
doesn't mean they are "nuanced."

The characters in 'The Last Boyscout' were
far more nuanced.

>and many memorable scenes/lines.

Just like 'The Last Boyscout'

>Not forgetting the
>brilliant use of music (not score)

Where? I've never even heard this. Fans of the movie
have never said this and no one in this post has
mentioned it.

That means that it isn't even noteworthy to its
fans.

In which case you're just inventing reasons
to like it.

>and filming techniques
>(like the special emulsion celluloid they used to give the
>diner scene its richness)

Jesus H. Christ.

> But most IMPORTANTLY the textual
>(perhaps intertextual) and moral depth that underpins the
>films status as a masterpiece of cinema.

"Moral Depth."

I'm taking a nap.
