>No matter how many other bullshit "hipster" arguments you >invent to the contrary.
They like it because its *supposed* to be a great movie.
People watch it, don't understand it, go online, read the over-interpretations, invent their own, combine them, and head to their dorm/office/coffee shop armed with a recipe for their low intellectual self esteem.
Its usually in the form of:
"I think the hairstyles of Travolta and Jackson's characters were symbolic..they were supposed to be hit men, yet had clashing, conflicting silly hairstyles....but Sam Jackson's character, who believed the miracle, came to peace with the conflict present on his scalp...Tarantino was speaking to the ubiquity of conflict, and how it presents itself in several different ways, even subconciously, sometimes in the form of a jheri curl...and the fact that Sam Jackson's character believed the miracle speaks to the African-American community's struggle for identity and hope for legitimacy."
People like me don't need to do ^^^this bullshit, because we're actually smart people in real life on real topics.
