you should expect whatever you expect, hold your standard to your standard. by all means, do you man. however, your post entered the realm of telling other people what *they* should and shouldn't expect.
me harping on you for telling people, quote,

in no way took you to task for what you personally prefer.

everyone has their own expectations, and they can be as satisfied or dissatisfied with something based on their own expectations as they please. you can argue the merits of their expectations, but you can't argue their personal level of satisfaction.

it boils down to people appreciating things in the context of what they are as opposed to appreciating them for what we want them to be. that subtle change in perspective here is key. you have your criteria, i have mine. this idea that people can't enjoy things that are flawed is a joke.
