yeah abit of one, but its basically just for the sake of dark humor.

Well Kill Bill isnt a sequel to his other films, this is an exploitation-kung-fu-spaghetti western. And the films hes paying tribute to change gears just like in Kill Bill.

Probably because there isn't supposed to be besides the subject of revenge. Its a pure action movie.
