There could be concern due to some past Bay movies being noticeably lacking in story. But we can deal with that when it comes.
Those robots, regardless of what they used to look like, still looked primed and ready to blow shit up and kick ass and be cool. I could give a fuck how faithful it is.
One of my FAVORITE comic book movie character adaptations for the screen EVER was Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin. People shat the bed cuz he didn't look like the comic, he was black, oh no! But the bottom line was name ONE WHITE ACTOR who would've captured the essence, the coolness, and the intimidation factor of the Kingpin better than Michael Clarke Duncan.
If you want strict translations, read some fan fiction or some shit. I'm gonna see this movie opening day and see a kickass war of robots with guns.
