53743, I'm a famous Hollywood producer. Pitch me a sequel.

I'll be greenlighting them based on the box office of the original, the star power of the sequel, and if the concept of the sequel will grab key audience demographics.

53744, The Resurrection (Passion of the Christ)
Posted by Call It Anything, Wed Jan-31-07 01:00 PM
James Caviezel reprises his role as Jesus. Mel Gibson directs. Everyone speaks Aramaic. Based heavily on the version of the New Testament that blames the Jews for it. If it hits big we can parlay it into a triology. Not sure how, but that's why we pay the writers.
53745, P3: Judgement Day
Posted by DawgEatah, Wed Jan-31-07 01:39 PM
Set in the future (Call ILM), Mankind is on it's last leg. Jesus comes back to herald the end of the world and the time of Judgement. Somehow the Jews all end up going to hell and Jesus and his followers march triumphantly to heaven. Oh. And somehow we'll work robots into that storyline.

53748, Interesting premise. Question:
Posted by Frank Longo, Wed Jan-31-07 02:47 PM
How does the story follow an arc? I mean, it seems to me like its one event. The Passion had conflict-resolution. What is happening that keeps me in the seat?

Posted by SoulHonky, Wed Jan-31-07 02:25 PM
Billy Passgastigan (Leo) tries to hunt down crazy taxi driver Travis Beefkil (DeNiro) who is going on a killing spree. Billy then finds out that Travis is just one part of a plot against the Mayor of New York and the brains behind the plan are Bill the Plumber (Daniel Day-Lewis) and Chowbox Bertha (Hershey). They plan on unleashing a dangerous gas in the city's subways. After dispatching with Bill's henchman Mini-Max (Snipes) (who just keeps yelling "You think you're bad?! You think you're bad?!"), pimp Charlie Crappa (Keitel) and insane comic Rupoop Poopkin (DeNiro again), Billy's only chance is to enlist the help of snitch Henry Hillofdung (Liotta) and the legendary boxer Raging Hard-on to battle it out. They fly to NY in Howard Hugerection's plane In the end, the Dalai Lama and Jesus swoop in and kick everyone in the balls and everyone decides to go back to play pool together with Fast Eddie Felcher (Newman).

That is until, someone notices the toilet is empy and someone yells out, "Hey, where's Alice?" which sets up the sequel. Alice Doesn't Shit Here Anymore.

The appeal of parodies is that I don't have to pay some hotshot actor a mil to make fun of himself. Can we limit it to no-name actors, call it "Scorsese Movie", and have a cameo by the man himself at the end where he gets flattened by fat Robert DeNiro from the end of Raging Bull?

Also, that Borat guy is big now. Can we work Borat in there somewhere?
53754, Borat? Catch up with the times. It's going to be BRUNO!
Posted by SoulHonky, Wed Jan-31-07 03:31 PM
And we'll send offers out to those guys but can always get Michael Madsen or some no names to fill the roles. COME ON, I thought you were big time. No vision.

I ain't givin it to em. Get Michael Madsden as Raging Bull guy, that guy from Law and Order SVU to be Taxi Driver guy, the Human Torch from Fantastic Four to be the Leo part, and Chris Walken to be Bill the Butcher.

Also, America doesn't want Bruno, they want more Borat. They want what they know. We want asses in seats.

The shrink lady has the baby, DNA testing shows that it's uh uh Leonardo's (I forget the character's name). Then get this -- remember that Frank's girlfriend was actively trying to get pregnant (She's seen reading a book on pregnancy late in The Departed) -- She IS pregnant, and she gives birth to Frank's DAUGHTER.

They grow up. In the meantime, Frank's empire has fallen to ruins. His daughter, played by uh uh LINDSAY LOHAN, tries to live up to her father's name and has to be one tough bitch to do it. As she gathers a new horde of loyalists to her, she inadvertently takes in a spy from the FBI, Leonardo's son, played by uh fuck frank I don't know any of these stars names. Jared Leto?

Check this.

So Josh Baskin (Tom Hanks) grows up. As an adult, he returns to MacMillan Toys and gets hired all over again. Robert Loggia (McMillan) and Elizabeth Perkins (Susan) are still there.

Susan has aged poorly, never married, and cannot handle seeing Josh around the office knowing what she has lost. One night she confesses her feelings to Josh, who reveals that he still has feelings for her as well.

But she is still 20 years older than him, and that's not going to work. So the two of them set off in search of the Zoltar machine. Once they find it, Susan intends to turn back the clock on her wrinkled, saggy bod and become the same age as Josh, so they can live happily ever after.

The rest of the picture involves the search for said machine, and the adventure brings the two of them closer together.

At the end of the film, they find the machine. Susan is prepared to make her wish, but Josh stops her. He tells her he loves her for who she is, not who she once was.

They live happily ever after.

FIN.

Stoney comes back to America to get her personal affairs settled (visit her paent's/brother's grave, distribute and invest some of her money in various channels, and to have one *last* visit with Blair Underwood's character).

Somehow, through a bazaar twist of events, the authorities are tipped off that she is back in the States, and she gets nabbed.

She gets two options:

1)Life in prison at max. security facility
2)Infiltrate a group of women suspected to be involved in high-end drug sales and distribution ring and work as informant to help convict them.

Stoney immediately goes for the second option which seems easy enough at first, but as she gets more involved with their lives, she finds disturbing parallells between their World and the life she left behind when she lost everything. As she begins to have doubts about whose side she's really working for, police up the ante by using Elise Neal's son, and his status in the "system" as bait to keep her in line.

It is an internal struggle with indelible consequences from start to finish as Stoney must decide between preserving her life as she knows it and saving the lives, one way or another, of the girls she comes to know, all too well.

Oh, and somewhere up in there, is a steamy love scene with Mr. Underwood...though it is, once again, bitersweet.

Queen Latifah, Vivica Fox, and Elise Neal all have short cameos via flashbacks.

andrew and sam get engaged at the beginning, which is right after the first movie by maybe... 2 months. they arent at all worried abut their short time knowing each other, although andy's dad is making an issue of and he thinks andrew is rushing into it simply trying to mask his "guilt" and pain of losing mom with this new "infatuation". thing is, andy is quite happy with moms passing, because he knows she is out of her misery. he still feels horrible about hat happened, but he has a peace about it.

sam insists on knowing andy's dad, and basically laughs off all of his psychobabble nonsense with her usual charm and it... and essentially charm him the way she did andy, dad likes her, and accepts her, though still is unable to accept his sons "irrational behavior".

that would form the core of the movie, a love triangle of course between dad, andy, and sam. (obviously, not a romantic one between sam and dad) dad opens up to sam, and perhaps we learn a few things about him that make him seem more likeable, though his relationship with andrew will remain strained.

of course, we get more of mark in this one as well.
marks mom actually makes like $20,000 off her first real estate deal and gets a bunch of new furniture, including a new bed... whom she eagerly invites sir knight over to break it in.

Don't hit me with the they already did it with the "Man with no Name" movies. I mean with William Munny and Freeman's character w/ Little Bill's story played as a parallel.
