38947, 24: Your Favorite Jack Bauer Moments So Far?
Posted by Melanism, Tue Jan-09-07 11:30 AM
No Season Six spoilers please

Day One:

- When Nina tells him that Kim is dead and Jack goes all psycho on the Drazen killing seven men including the Drazens, saving a clip for Victor Drazen himself.

Day Two:
- "I'm gonna need a hacksaw"
- When he pretended to kill Syed Ali's kids
- Jack dies for the first time
- While having a coronary event, Jack still manages to kill Kingsley's attack team including one with a Matrox-like off the wall neck break.

Day Three:
- Jack: You don't have any more useful information, do you?
Nina: I do...
Jack: No, you don't.
*Shoots Nina three times*
- When Jack emasculates Stephen Saunders by threatening to put his daughter into the infected hotel.
- When Jack decides that instead of using the ax to cut the chain off Chase's wrist, he would relieve Chase of one of the hands he uses to touch Kim behind his back. At least, that is how I interpreted it.

Day Four:
- When Jack shows the new CTU team how interrogations were done in his day by shooting the prisoner in the thigh.
- When Jack kills 10-12 (I forget the exact count) in 10 minutes to rescue Secretary Heller. Unfortunately, Audrey survives too.
- When Jack walks off into the sunset like Bill Bixby in The Incredible Hulk.

Day Five:
- "Let's get one thing straight, kid. The only reason you're still conscious is because I don't want to carry you. Now get in the van."
- Jack avenges Palmer's assassination the only way he knows how - in cold blood.
- Jack gets his MacGyver on and blows up a terrorist through his cell phone.
- Jack to Walt Cummings: “You have read my file, you know I will cut out your right eye, then cut out your left eye, and keep cutting until I get what I want"
- Jack shoots Robocop's wife in the leg.
- We learn that every CTU agent is given a PDA memory card that can self-destruct like Mission:Impossible messages.
- Jack trains a lowly Navy solider how to kill Bauer-style via cell phone.
- Jack tricks Robocop with the old empty clip trick and kills another unarmed man who had it coming.
- Jack kidnaps the President of the United States. Is there anything he can't do?

What have I missed?

38948, Day 5: Jack vs. Audrey's fiance/husband
Posted by smutsboy, Tue Jan-09-07 12:00 PM
First Jack uses a lamp to torture Audrey's fiance/husband...

Then it turns out the dude was telling the truth & isn't a terrorist, which makes Jack's lamp-torture even BETTER!

THEN the Jack has to choose between putting doctors to work on Audrey's fiance or on a captive who has info Jack needs...

He chooses the captive, and Audrey's husband, who Jack erroneously tortured with a LAMP, DIES.

hahahahaha.

I love Jack bauer

38961, You got most of them, but not this one
Posted by sithlord, Tue Jan-09-07 05:16 PM
Season Four:
Jack enters an apartment to secure a laptop, unaware that one of Marwan's female operatives is there, impersonating an FBI agent, having killed a couple of agents before Jack got there.

Jack eventually figures it out and the chick takes a shot at him, missing. You can almost see a "doesn't this bitch know who the fuck I am?" look on Jack's face before he fires two shots and kills her through the drywall.

Also from Season 4, even though it isn't anything Jack did, I still like the moment. After securing Dina Araz, (Shohreh Aghdashloo), Jack is trying to make a deal with her to turn Behrooz in. Dina says the only way she will tell them anything is if they find her son because she doesn't care about any American lives and firmly believes in her cause. Without missing a beat, Jack deadpans to Driscoll "Did you get that?" and the episode ends.

hell, i always thought it meant "nothing more"

i guess the same meaning is conveyed
38963, I'm going to have to go with
Posted by nipsey, Tue Jan-09-07 09:40 PM
Season 2: *Before* he said "I need a hacksaw". The fact that he just shot that dude out of the blue.

Season 5: Mrs. Robocop. Nuff said.
Season 5: "The Art of the Kill" by Jack Bauer via cell phone
Season 5: "You read my file."

Sheesh. By the looks of this, Season 5 was the best. Or maybe cause it's most fresh in my mind.

>No Season Six spoilers please
>
>Day One:
>
>- When Nina tells him that Kim is dead and Jack goes all
>psycho on the Drazen killing seven men including the Drazens,
>saving a clip for Victor Drazen himself.
YEP. the killcount doesn't have that listed, he DEFINITELY killed more people than drazen and his son at the end

>Day Two:
>- "I'm gonna need a hacksaw"
YES. that's when i realized just how sick this fucker was and how it was a good thing his wife was dead and didn't have to be around for this
>- When he pretended to kill Syed Ali's kids
>- Jack dies for the first time
>- While having a coronary event, Jack still manages to kill
>Kingsley's attack team including one with a Matrox-like off
>the wall neck break.
when he sonned the shit out of sherry palmer for a whole extended sequence. that was lovely.

>Day Three:
>- Jack: You don't have any more useful information, do you?
>Nina: I do...
>Jack: No, you don't.
>*Shoots Nina three times*

i'd say when he kissed nina. how hard did THAT shit have to be? i mean seriously, even if she said she could tell he was faking, that he was able to do it at all....

>- When Jack emasculates Stephen Saunders by threatening to put
>his daughter into the infected hotel.
>- When Jack decides that instead of using the ax to cut the
>chain off Chase's wrist, he would relieve Chase of one of the
>hands he uses to touch Kim behind his back. At least, that is
>how I interpreted it.
I disagree big time on this one. Chase was the one who said it, it tore Jack up that he had to do it. Twas still an ill scene tho.

>Day Four:
>- When Jack shows the new CTU team how interrogations were
>done in his day by shooting the prisoner in the thigh.
>- When Jack kills 10-12 (I forget the exact count) in 10

>survives too.
yeah that was fricking nutty, he was sliding down the hill while he shot them

>- When Jack walks off into the sunset like Bill Bixby in The
>Incredible Hulk.
>
>Day Five:

I would also offer how he got his shit ready to go in like 10 minutes after Chloe called, like he was just WAITING for when it was time to get back in there

>- "Let's get one thing straight, kid. The only reason you're
>still conscious is because I don't want to carry you. Now get
>in the van."
>- Jack avenges Palmer's assassination the only way he knows
>how - in cold blood.
>- Jack gets his MacGyver on and blows up a terrorist through
>his cell phone.
You forgot when he was choking his daughter's boyfriend in the situation room for popping off. And TWICE he warned him with the look. Once when he was first talking to Kim, and again when he was trying to get Chloe to snap out of it after Edgar died.

>- Jack to Walt Cummings: “You have read my file, you know I
>will cut out your right eye, then cut out your left eye, and
>keep cutting until I get what I want"
YEP

>- Jack shoots Robocop's wife in the leg.
NUMBER ONE MOMENT. that was sooooooo gully

>- We learn that every CTU agent is given a PDA memory card
>that can self-destruct like Mission:Impossible messages.
>- Jack trains a lowly Navy solider how to kill Bauer-style via
>cell phone.
>- Jack tricks Robocop with the old empty clip trick and kills

>- Jack kidnaps the President of the United States. Is there

you did good, i listed the ones that stuck out to me

Don't remember the season, but there was an episode when Jack snuck on a plane and hid his presence by pulling the hood on his hoodie over his head.
38969, LMAO
Posted by Ceej, Wed Jan-10-07 10:30 AM
Yes I believe that was last season, man he is so quick on his feet.
38970, RE: 24: Your Favorite Jack Bauer Moments So Far?
Posted by guitarnp, Wed Jan-10-07 12:19 PM
that was good, when he got on the plane held it hostage and the landed on the highway and still escaped without being found
38971, word?
Posted by Numba_33, Wed Jan-10-07 12:50 PM
>and still escaped without being

I don't remember this at all. This almost makes me want to go to a blockbuster to watch that episode. Sounds so funny.

with a lot of help from Curtis, but yeah thats pretty much how I remember. It has been a while though

Ya know, this guy
http://www.dvdfever.co.uk/reviews/pweller6.jpg
38975, The obvious winners are as follows:
Posted by smutsboy, Wed Jan-10-07 12:08 PM
- hacksaw
- shooting robocop's wife
38976, I still think it's funny that he shot Chappelle
Posted by HiKwelity, Wed Jan-10-07 03:24 PM
And the fact that it has never come up again in any matter adds to the hilarity. It's like everyone is cool with what happened and they've never thought twice about it.

Any moment where Jack tells someone, "I give you my word" in order to get them to do something for him is great, too. Why? Because they usually end up dead or arrested.
38977, That was the old head of CTU right?
Posted by soopabruva1, Wed Jan-10-07 03:39 PM
That he murked by the train tracks? That was one of the top 10 most illest moments on TV!
38978, That wasn't funny

Ryan was a dick but it was still sad. Funny is when he wanted to put his daughter in the hotel with the rest of the infected people

Posted by spenzalii, Wed Jan-10-07 04:59 PM
While Chloe is sending over the positions of all the terrorists so he and Wayne can pick them off. He shoots 2 bad guyes, casually looks at his super PDA like 'let's see, killed two bad guys...hmmm, my Apple stock just went up...the Lakers won...lets see, next target...' It was too funny.
38983, RE: The look on Jack's face at the nuclear plant

it's ok to go in now.
38987, a couple no one has mentioned
Posted by osu_no_1, Wed Jan-10-07 05:37 PM
the end of day two was so fuckin ill. he owned the whole bad guy team with his sniper rifle, and kingsley even knew he and sherry were setting up the trap.

there was another moment (i think in day 4) near the start of the season where he only had a small pistol, and kept smoking guys with machine guns. he made it out of the building, slid across the roof of a car and bodied another dude. that's probably one of the sickest moves, along with the lil neckbreaker flip.

shooting robocop's wife though, that was a precious moment that will never be forgotten.
38988, Somehow y'all neglect to mention...
Posted by The Rapture7, Wed Jan-10-07 06:40 PM
His first MOMENTS back at CTU in season 2 after being FIRED in season 1 when he calls in ol'boy as a suspect and subsequently MURKS duke IN THE INTERROGATION ROOM? This is the pinnacle of GULLY.

38991, Day 5: Jack vs. Curtis - "Don't Fight It"
Posted by dustdaughter, Wed Jan-10-07 07:49 PM
Curtis tried to bring him back to CTU. Jack gets a call from Audrey about with a lead about Nathanson. Jack promptly hangs up, smiles in Curtis' face and knocks him the f**k out. He gently says, "Don't fight it", to Curtis while choking him out.

This and knocking out the Air Marshall were the comedy highlights of Day 5 for me.

When you watch the seasons of 24 on DVD, back to back to back, this man jack bauer is on some other superhuman shit.

And then when you consider this season, he comes directly from being shanhai'd in china and silent for 2 years, to getting cleaned up, finding out he's being traded for an international terrorist, finding out he's being traded for the wrong terrorist, escaping said terrorist, and then racking up a nice lot of bodies along the way to help another avowed terrorist, outrunning an airstrike, along with the end of episode 4 and then the issues with his fam and learning the truth of what really went down last time I was on home turf (graeme).... If I were jack I'da just stopped trusting everyone that aint Bill Buchanan, Wayne F Baby, or Chloe O'brian; gotten a 9, a portable interrogation kit and a plastic bag and started blastin on errrybody.

For real, if you aint got clearances or otherwise tried to help me save the world on more than one occasion, you gettin "interrogated" period.
39011, I wish they'd bring back the video phones
Posted by HiKwelity, Tue Feb-20-07 11:25 PM
That was season 3 correct? They all had video phones where they could see each other when they talked on the phone, in a building where the offices are glass and you can bascially see everyone in the building by looking over your computer monitor.

It was just a great touch on a histerically bad season.
