This probably could have been a separate post, but I simply think comics would have stayed cheaper, regardless of inflation, if they didn't all feel this need to move up to glossy paper.

Charging the price of your average magazine for a book that's still only 32 pages at the end of the day (with 23 pages of story) is simply bonkers, plus it takes the kids out of the game.

Besides, I felt there was more soul to cracking open the glossy cover to read the story on newsprint.

While we're at it, computer lettering and overly fabulous coloring can go too.
