that these people are full of shit

i mean if you guessed 'the twist' in The Sixth Sense, so be it
but if you guessed 'the twist' in The Village, i'm going to have to ask you which twist
- that the hero gets taken out early on (j phoenix character gets stabbed)
- that the monsters are villagers?
- that there are also REAL monsters?
- that there aren't... it was just Noah?
- that it's set in modern day?
- that the Village was started by a group of damaged individuals, one of whom owns a nature reserve?

none of these is THE BIG TWIST, it twists throughout. If i had to pick one i'd say that the monsters were villagers - but lots happens after that anyway. The one about it being set in modern day isn't that big a deal if you went in trying to guess that sort of thing... in fact when i went into the film, i thought it was going to be OPENLY set in modern day, just in a non-modernized place... turned out it wasn't so i sat down and enjoyed the film and when the modern day twist DID come, it WAS a surprise because i'd been watching the film instead of glowering over it
