1) This happened like 15 years ago, so maybe working at a comic book store was a little more exotic and unusual.
2) These were chicks he met at parties, not at the shop. So maybe they genuinely found it interesting. However, they could have been Goony-googoo looking chicks. I didn't ask him. I was too busy trying not to crack up.
