We had a screened-in porch when I was a kid. My dad built it. It was big and built with bricks and there was lots of screen of course and my dad would go out there and watch it storm.

My grandmother likes when I play the banjo. Only she's always asking me if I know some random old song from the 20s. She says "Do you know 'Spider Went A Courtin With Old Mary Ann' or 'I Put The File In The Pie So You Could Escape In Time For The Weddin' Uncle Joe'."

They always have some kind of crazy title like that.

I say "Um, no I don't know that one."

"Well why not!" she says.

And I say "Um, Grandma, wouldn't you just rather hear Cripple Creek again? And could you please stop shouting?"

Then I usually cry a little.
