overall, this was a strong premiere....

It was a nice touch how they didn't include her in the opening credits. Pete too, but I think he's a wrap for real.

I didn't like how he used his x-ray vision and decided she wasn't dead. A) Way to keep your powers secret, but that's nothing new, B) All that really confirmed was that she wasn't in the coffin.

It probably would have been more dramatic if he had said, "I don't think Chloe's dead," not to mention more plausible.

while i find the show to be corny (but bearably so) one thing they are always on point with are their special fx interpretations. the flying looked dope.

overall, i thought the premiere was dope.

kal-el taking off flying, then alongside the plane, rips the plane door off and calls the crystal to him. that was the best part of the whole show. i'm likin lois lane, and it seems like her character is gonna mix things up a lot. hopefully.

i was hoping for a real lengthy battle between kal-el and clark like in superman 3. but maybe that will happen later. that'd be dope. wtf was black kryptonite, and how did martha know that shit wouldn't kill clark?

i hate the goody two shoes crap (yeah, yeah, i know supes is a goody, but clark should be more on the fence) and the red and blue all the time...bringing lois in is bad, my boy pete is gone, so no more black folks....i just wanna know what happened to lana....plus the whole 'clark can't fly, but Kal can' crap pissed me off too....i did like when he hopped on the plane and jacked the artifact, but the writers seem to scramblin for ideas...

well, you know they have to save some things for later, but it would be cool to see him fly more often, or at least show him floating and trying to get the hang of it before he has it down cold.

personally, i'd like to see clark and kal go at it for longer on some superman III shit for a good part of the episode.

they need to explore his bad side more and shoot more episodes in metropolis or some other city. that's be fly as hell to see him disintegrate something (like that one girl that jor-el gave the powers to). the writers have changed enough of the mythology. give clark some new power that no one has heard of, or take some of those powers that were used in superman II (teleportation, and those beams that zod shot from his finger.

seriously..the whole thing is silly...he should be more of a normal teen with conflicts as to what's 'really' right or wrong, not such a know it all goody two boots...at least not YET...clark is supposed to learning who he is, not so much what....they don't focus on that as much as they do the physical, and lois showing up proves they want more flash to keep viewers..

3) if clark's disguise in the future is a pair of glasses, won't lois know right away that superman is clark since she's seen clark without glasses already? or is he just gonna kiss her and then she'll forget?

this episode showed that all these these actors (especially kristin kreuk) couldn't act.

This new Lana subplot is completely contrived. It's like the WB is trying to cram two shows into one. Both shows (plots) are getting weaker. These writers suck basically. I don't see nor care to see how the "new" Lana fits into the Superman ethos. And Lex and Clarks relationship is wack as fuck. Their exchange at the end of this recent episode had the homoeroticism meter going buckwild. Clark came off as a jealous lover and what could have been a cool moment resulted in perhaps the gayest moment of the series. That's saying something. I couldn't stop laughing. I don't know if I can keep watching this show and it appears that many on this board are debating the same thing.

1) He wasn't up against any meteor freaks or other
supernatural people. It was just simple organized crime,
and shows that he can interface with all kinds of
criminal activity, from mundane to extraordinary.

2) More character development for Lois.

the very fact that all this BS keeps coming to the small town that is smallville is just geting silly...i could see if some of this came from other areas that clark happened to be in, but that's not the case..it's like the craziest shit on earth hppens in smallville and smallville alone...plus, they could alot more creative things storywise if the network and writers weren't so interested in all this gimmicky crap....

Unless I see that they doing something crazy, I don't even watch any more.

The story lines just aren't that interesting anymore.

I swear, he is the dumbest superhero-in-training ever. How the hell he goes on to become superman is beyond me. I guess he does a pantload of smarting up in the interim.

This is it, folks. This ep marks the beginning of the end of Clark and Lex's friendship. And I think they might be serious about it this time.

Yup, Chloe's the shit, that's my girl. I'm glad I caught this last one.

Glad I caught this ep as I've slept on most of the season. It's just seemed like the writer's have been hittin the crack pipe a bit too hard at times. Seems like they might be getting back on track here finally.

So does Chloe still have her memory of Clark's powers, or did that go when dude zapped her too?

It would be a convenient way for the writers to go back to normal... but her comment in the end where Clark "did everything like he had always done except one thing" and when he asked she said "trust me" I was like OH DAYUM she really has those killer lines.

I hope she still knows something cuz it's made her character that much better and much more sympathetic. She is by far the most interesting person on the show.

That true. At first, I thought they used the "forgetfullness trick" AGAIN. But yeah, that cat did only take the last couple of minutes(pretty much just the memory of what had JUST happened in that room). I hope sure still knows too. It HAS made her character that much more interesting.

I got about 15 minutes in and had to take a phone call. Why'd Jason and his moms kidnap the Luthors? Were they after the keystone still? Did they get it? How did Clark, Chloe, and Lois find the underground bunker where the kid was keeping e'rybody? I saw the last 15 minutes, basically just missed the "meat" of the episode.

Whats going on Fam,

I'll try to post what the episode was like from beginning to end.

The show begins with Lana getting into a fight with Jason's mom. The shocker is that she kills Jasons mom with the stone.

Lex finds her and hides her in his mansion thinking that if he helps her he can get the other stone.

Clark has a nightmare telling him of a danger that is coming.

Clark has a talk with Jor-El. Jor-El tells him he tried to prepare him and now humanity must pay the price.

During the episode they show that the danger is an metero storm coming to earth.

Clark and Chloe graduate but Lana isnt there because she's still in the mansion. The army comes and tell s everybody they need to get out of Smallville because the metors are coming straight to them.

Lana sneaks out and gives Clark the second stone. She tells Clark that she loves him, they kiss and he says I love you also.

Clark puts the second stone in the cave which causes a wave of light similar to the first episode. Lionel has the second stone. It causes him to go into seizures right in front of Lex. Lex takes the 3rd stone and hides it in his vault that is surrounded by kryptonite.

Lex puts Lois on a helicopter because the meteors are hitting Smallville. As this is happening Clark puts out Lex's vault to get the 3rd stone. He gets it but the krptonite inside causes him to pass out. Chloe get there right before Lex and pulls him free. As Chloe argues with Lex over what happened Clark runs the hell out back to the cave.

Also Jason has taken Ma and Pa kent hostage at their house.

Chloe and Lex get to the cave just as Clark puts the 3rd stone in. Clark his swallowed by a light.

As soon as Clark is swallowed the meteor storm stops.

Cliffhangers-
-Lois pulls over and surveys the damage with Smallville completely destroyed from the meteor storm. I'm thinking that this is going to give her a way to come back next season as she tries to help rebuild

-Lana's helicopter was hit by a rock and crashes. She crawls out of the ship to see a spaceship. Who's in it? My guesses: Kara-El, the 3 evil kryptonians or....Braniac. I've always thought it wasn't Jor-El talking to Clark but Brainiac.

But then again it could be the Erradicator.

-Chloe and Lex are still in the cave when Clark is transported.

-A meteor hits the Kents house while Ma, Pa and Jason are inside fighting. You literally see half the house blow up.

-And clark? He's transported to the Artic. Fortress of Solitude anyone?

The End.

Could anyone give me a recap?

Okay Lana saw the spaceship that came with the meteor shower and she saw who was in it but they didn't show us, and clark got all the stones and was transported to the artic where is liar will be like in the movies thats pretty much it.

They're steppin it up a bit. I want to see Clark fly his ass back to Smallville.

On a side note: where the hell did Chloe and Lex disappear to?

I got the impression that they didn't actually go anywhere; just that they were prolly thrown/blown away from the hidden chamber as they started to enter it(and before they could see Clark).

On a related note, I'm glad they have left Chloe with the knowledge of Clark's powers. It really has made her character much more interesting.

Haven't been able to catch up with any of the shows for this season..how's it looking so far? Better, worse?

some of these side explorations into Kypton 90210 were
bleh, but the mythology joints were skraight.

I'm hoping for a "Kneel to Zod moment" but just for one ep.
