and I don't know anyone who says they like Empire best because "it ends on a down note / the bad guys are winning at the end" etc. There's alot of reasons people like it best, not the least of which because it's the best written and directed SW movie, but if I had to pick a single reason personally it's because Darth Vader is at the height of his power and is kicking everyone's ass left and right.
