What a quick read. And entertaining all the way through. Too many punchlines in some places, but it's generally a fine piece of work. Whether you know the author or not, the reader is made to feel great empathy at nearly every turn.

It really did read like a diary. The discombobulated mix of tenses added a genuine touch. We might be getting the writer's biased version of a scenario, but we know it's not fiction.

My only question: Any chance that Angiee may open up a check cashing place of her own that treats people with dignity? Now that she's not broke, surely her experiences have fortified her sense of benevolence.
