Great review John, I too was a big metallica fan, first heard of them when "one" came out, proceeded to buy every album before that. I loved this band, and until Load came out, they could do no wrong.

My favorite part of the film has got to be when Mustaine was talking to Lars. It was so brutally honest, the stuff he said during that session would never have come out in a rock mag interview or such. An interesting take I got from it was how much of an ass Hetfield and Ulrich could be... and my all time fav quote from the movie was when Hetfield makes that comment on how he feels that he's not getting any input with the band, and Kirk says something to the effect of "now you know how I've felt for the last 15 years!"
