i've said all this before, but ill go ahead and restate it:

-there is no sense of community. the biggest risk in opposing racism is losing your own community. billy bob and halle had no friends, and, hence, no risk in being with each other.

-halle is too pretty. billy bob is not overcoming any racism, he's just going after the finest piece in town.

-billy bob puts his dad in a home cause he's cockblocking.

-billy bob literally buys his way out of his old racism. give her a car, a home, name your gas station after her, and shazam the past is erased.
