i really don't think the "plot" of mulholland drive is simple at all. i'm not even sure there is much of a tangible plot to follow. i'd be interested in hearing what you think the movie is about, because there are obviously are many different ways to interpret it and i think that it is definitely not a simple movie plot-wise. i think that there is a lot that is going on and a lot to figure out, and while i think that i *mostly* understand it after 6+ viewings (including a film study session w/ roger ebert...that was cool), it is definitely NOT a movie you can figure out just like "that." i think that it is almost the kind of movie that confuses you more the more times you watch it if you're not careful.
