wow. well that just makes Mr Gunn's handling of this movie even MORE impressive in my opinion.
i hope he keeps that thread/connection to 80's pop culture and 70s tunes as an 'accent seasoning' and continues to sprinkle them about 'just enough' in the next two GOG films as well. (yes, i think this debut is strong enough to warrant two more, as long as Gunn is at the helm)
saw this one twice now:
1st time on Friday in Imax 3d (beautiful, the opening sequence of Starlord grown up looked wonderful ) 2nd in regular 2d
audience applauded at the end of both shows i attended. (and no, i didnt START the applause in the SECOND screening, i only STARTED applause the FIRST show i went to. (i did JOIN IN on the clapping the second go round though ;)
