I agree tho. I didn't say that racism is irrelevant.
I'm talking about the dynamics of how young White people are IRL versus this Dear Whitey movie.
Its just not subversive enough.
And its too polite.
Yeah, I know Hispanics have color issues just like Black folks do.
But atleast they have more unity.
This movie doesnt even address the hypocrisy that goes on amongst Black people.
Lets tackle that before doing a "White people who have Black friends" issue.
Hell, theres Black folks in the Bay who are cool with White folks sayin "nigga".
This movie seems too timid to be raw & honest.
