The preview was released because it would be indicative of the final product, right? That's the entire fucking point of doing a trailer, a teaser trailer, a sizzle real, a fundraising pitch or whatever the fuck you want to call it. People watched that preview and based on that deduced that it didn't look like their cup of tea. Period. And people do it all day every day.
There is nothing assholish about that.
