While Walt is in NH it is cold and snowy, looks to be the dead of winter.
When he is back in NM, it is September 7, as he is celebrating his birthday in the diner. Thinking it took him a few days to get to NM, it was snowing really bad for August in NH.
I don't really believe the theory, but I also don't see them messing up something so simple when they are typically so meticulous.
