113218, I'm in TIME MAGAZINE.
Posted by PolarbearToenails, Wed May-03-06 01:24 AM
Well, not me personally, but The Sound of Young America.

PAGE 196!

Or for those who prefer the internet:
http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1189268,00.html

Their comedy podcast picks are The Onion, Ricky Gervais and THE SOUND OF YOUNG AMERICA.

Get on board folks, this train is leaving the station (I hope, because I got laid off last week)
113219, congratulations! you most definately deserve the attention
Posted by dgonsh, Wed May-03-06 02:36 AM
ive been listening as often as i can since the paul feig interview, and its always a good listen.
113220, FUCK YEAH
Posted by Premiere, Wed May-03-06 02:43 AM
Great stuff, man. Those Onion news bits kind of suck though. But Time, man. You're doing big things.
113221, way to go, you deserve it
Posted by DubSpt, Wed May-03-06 02:48 AM
All bullshit aside you put together a great show which serves a wonderful purpose: legitamizing comedy as art, something which is not done nearly enough in our society. Kudos to you.
113222, word up!
Posted by bignick, Wed May-03-06 04:01 AM
113223, GOOD NEWS - my mom reads TIME...
Posted by celery77, Wed May-03-06 05:29 AM
BAD NEWS - my mom has no idea what a podcast is and would probably have to spend about 5 hours teaching herself how to listen to one.

Otherwise, that's awesome! I promise to d/l a good backlog of those sometime soon and work my way through a big chunk.
113224, nice work
Posted by Ceej, Wed May-03-06 11:32 AM
i'm gonna sign up after work today!
113225, That's impressive company to be listed among. Congrats!

Anyone on OKP can say "a guy I know was in Time Magazine this week."

Anyone who already listens and posts in the TSOYA threads can say, "a friend of mine was in Time Magazine this week."

We should get a clarification on this re: Nick's book, too :).
113232, I already done did it!
Posted by DoctorBombay, Wed May-03-06 02:08 PM

You deserve all the accolades you receive, Mr. Maximum Fun. Because as Dino Stamtopolous would say, "You got the goods". You're a super star, in a super star machine.

Muchos thanks on helping me contact the Hard n Phirm guys they were really nice and even gave me freebies. How can I donate money to TSOYA without doing it online? Do you have a physical address where donations can be mailed?

113255, Totally...
Posted by PolarbearToenails, Thu May-04-06 11:24 AM
did you respond to the survey a few months ago, or was that before your time?

If you did, you'll get a little packet of info in the mail in two weeks or so. Otherwise, this is the address for contributions...

I wish I was in there, we use to get a lot of stoned callers when we were live in Santa Cruz.

I will be in the Norwood-Young America Minnesota Times, though.

So I can say "As seen in Time Magazine, Salon.com, and the NY Times."
