but it is a misleading statement. so my question then becomes: if the basis of this post is that people here don't give American Gangster enough credit as compared to other gangster flicks of the past 25 years (once again, not enough experience with this genre), yet you acknowledge that people here don't really give credit to GF3... then why bring up GF3 other than to make your argument look easier? i mean you wanted people to argue each one of your points yet you put in a sentence that everyone agrees with.

and if your point was that people claimed it was long and boring yet people don't make the same criticism of the first 2 GFs, well that's cause they're long but not boring... as evidenced by those two CONSTANTLY being at the top of all-time best movies lists.
