1. yes it was his twin brother...alot of foreshadowing in the beginning explains it, plus they couldn't of been clones because they both had two complete different personalities

2. that was a clone because if you look at the very end of the movie you see endless of "cloned tanks"...the original died from the original clone shooting him...

3. the last one the director depends on the viewers intelligence to figure that one out and common sense would imply that A) he KNEW and devise the set-up on broden (he DID put that in the diary which broden originally assumed it was a fake) or B) realized that through the commotion that something had happened and logically did not to expose the "prestige"

4. borden got convicted purely because he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. he easily had a motive because they have decades of beef between them....just the fact he was right there at the scene of the crime made it easy for a conviction
