crouching tiger shoulda won best picture easily that year. they tried to placate people with that best foreign joint. it was the best film i saw that year by such a wide ass margin. it was disgusting.

it lost to gladitor, dogg. i remember seeing gladitor and thinking "great popcorn flick"...when it got all those noms, i was incensed because i knew it was gonna win big.
