You're just now watching these three movies? Where ya been? Crouching Tiger is definitely one of the best movies of the 2000s.

Is this directed at all Americans or just the white ones?

I googled "Samurai Flower" but couldn't find that movie? Are you sure you spelled the director's name right?

And just who do you think saw Crouching Tiger in theaters when it came out? Who helped it gross $128 million?

>b) Those movies had better special effects/more meaning/depth

>Chinese know how to do big budget and meaningful. We don't.

'We' as in Americans or just 'we' as white Americans?

>I mean, 'Hero' was so well made it made you sympathize with
>its (not so)hidden pro-Mao fascist message, for god's sakes.
>Its a fantastic fucking film. Masterpiece.

I sympathized with the characters not the message...if I recall correctly, honestly it's been a while. I liked the movie a lot but mainly for the cinematography, special effects, and martial arts. If you wanna talk pro-Mao fascism I suggest you befriend some of those artsy fartsy types you despise.

Why the fuck are you going to see MI:4? You're not too good for that trite Hollywood bullshit? Honestly you seem smart and should have known what to expect from a Mission Impossible movie.

>White people: You cannot direct as well as the Chinese. First
>it was math. Now its film. Get over it.

To be fair China does have a larger talent pool to draw from.

>Oh, and the the remake of 'Karate Kid' was a Chinese

>as well. Better than the American original <--it was, just
>stop,
>we already had this debate.

And Kung Fu Hustle is better than both. But you already knew that.

Have you actually seen any other Chinese movies besides these three? House of Flying Daggers is the newest of the three and it's 8 years old. Can you recommend any next level Chinese shit that's recent?
