i think it's more because we're more used to stylized type action in films that we're not accustomed to the fight scenes with batman...there's nothing glamourous with batman's fighting skills, he's just comes in there and kick ass...no fantastic looking martial arts, or any type of "wow" factor...and it's mostly because nolan is so strict in wanting realism that those things are stripped away...

a movie like a jason bourne have those "wow" this muthafucka is fuckin' him up type of sequences, which in reality, i cannot SEE those things go down like that....with batman, he fucks people up, but gets fucked up too along the way, which i can respect, but it doens't show any type of excitement in regards of fight scenes
