wasn't the Kesel/Nord run in the 90s? I really dug that. While I do prefer a 'grim n gritty' Daredevil, it was kinda cool to see him getting back to his wisecrackin' hornhead roots (Speaking of 'roots,' I think Gene Colan even stepped in for a few issues of this run)

It was post-Onslaught, right in the midst of the Spider-Clone saga, and it seemed like the MU was just going to hell in a handbasket, but somehow Daredevil managed to retain some poise and dignity. He was above that shit.
