it shouldn't make a difference, but it does. if billy bob thornton had been pluggin' the shit out of catherine zeta-jones or j. lo or somebody, that would of been a different thing. but the black body is already so oversexualized that directors tend to have a hard time being as neutral with its depiction as they are when it comes to white folks.

nah, i wouldn't be mad about that. it's not about white on white vs. black on white. i'm saying that there seems to be some awkwardness in films (which i think comes from society as a whole) when it comes to sex, particularly between black people and white people.

Yeah...the only problem i have with that is that when it's all flowery and lovey-dovey and stuff between white folks and all raunchy, exoticized back-breaking sex between interracial couples. (i'm not saying this happens all the time, but i just haven't come across a lot of interracial sex scenes that have treated the intimacy respectfully.)
