My contribution (a yoruba proverb): Eyinkule lota wa

Translation: Your enemy/adversary is in your backyard

Interpretation: It's those who are close to you who can hurt you the most. Hence you should ensure that you are careful who you let get close to you and also ensure that your close relationships are in order.
