I am a parent of a 7 year old. For a long time I was just like okay " No I am not letting my child look at all this ass shaking and sex like conduct on TV etc." I have found that it is a little unavoidable. so I got over the sickening part of it all and sat and talked to my child and told him the deal. "Look there are people that do such and such because they think it is cool and cute and the like but it is not acceptable." It worked. I dunno if he will be pulled into the Abyss with the other chidren but I do feel good about the fact thati have taught him you do not have to act like everyone else. you are your own person.
