a child under 12 or so should NOT have their own tv or phone in his/her room.

& i think that the other aspects of her sheltering had a lot more to do w/ homegirl's breakdown than not having a tv *smile*

but the problem is that most kids who have their own tvs are NOT monitored well (i did interviews w/ parents & we talked about that kind of thing. believe me, they're not watching like they should), and there's also cable. they could be watching anything, any time of the night.
