i do know that unfortunately, a history of abducted, raped, broken, and displaced families is apart of our inheritance as Black People. But instead of embracing this trauma as apart of our "cultural identity", i think we need to deconstruct, decolonize, and make peace before we can truly give of ourselves. In whatever way works for you.

As Black Men, particularly in this generation, we have to negotiate so many parts of ourselves, leaving us divded and conquered. i often feel that we don't have a genuine sense of brotherhood, but various cliques/tribes, which i guess is going to happen anyway, but when it gets to the point where we can't even respect our differences enough to have a basic sense of solidarity, things have kinda gone too far.

In the era of bling-bling and babydaddy/babymamma drama (not that i'm hating on anyone's hustle, or "untraditional" domesticities, but still), Loving Blackness has become a political act in and of itself.

"Exploitation of all and everything is the fundamental tenet of Capitalism, and exploitation of women is the fundamental tenet of Patriarchy, both of which are the foundation and driving ethos of this country, so Niggers are simply reflecting that in their words and actions. The real problem is that in many cases, you have all these Pro-Capitalist Niggers running around promoting the wonders of Capitalism, and Pro-Patriarchal Bitches telling us that Patriarchy is good, and without something to counter this madness, our children buy into that bullshit. . ."
