i believe is the genesis of all other forms of understanding. (male-female relationships, children, outreach to the young & elderly, etc.) the issue was firmly addressed back in the day. yet today, we seem to act as though we've turned the corner when it's obvious we haven't. we don't we discuss learning to love one's self anymore?
