I really don't know where to start, but I think that 1 thing that I personally would consider being something positive for the black man is the long overdue recognition Denzel Washington got for his craft. Though his role wasn't of a positive black man and he should've got it with Malcolm X, but with the focus of racism being shifted towards people of Middle Eastern decent in some ways we are starting to get a wee little more respect. Besides that I can't really think of much else. Now negative, the list can go on and on. The sniper being a brotha' kinda set us back a little, but really I don't give too much of a f#ck what white people's preconceived notions are of us considering they really don't know us, they just know what they've been taught and fed through the media about us.
