I've read a lot about the Holocaust, been to the DC Holocaust museum and the Montreal one, as well as Yad Vashem (the big museum in Israel), but no matter how much you read you just can't understand the Holocaust if you don't hear the stories of the survivors. I just feel bad that my kids won't have that same opportunity and all they'll have will be the books and museums.
