Bob Marley was lightskinned... and so on to name a few... it's not a accurate assesmement...
however, yes in W. Africa they certainly have a inferiority complex in places like Ghana... I wouldn't say the same for Senegal... more roots and cultural as oppossed to Ghana being more Westernized... well to some degree anyway...
