I'm not sure how I feel about that. To my understanding, there are some HUGE differences between what the "pope" and I believe.
On the same note as what you said... I could tell you that George W. Bush is the most visible American leader to the rest of the world... therefore, he represents you, an American. No?
However, you and I both know that the truly American ideals expressed in the constitution (equality of man, equality of opportunity) are the true ideals... and much since then, has simply been a bastardization.
So why would I say that I don't believe in those original ideals simply because men, seeking selfish causes, have messed them up?
I don't want to get off on a Dubya tangent here.... but that best illustrated why your argument doesn't make sense to me.
