"Classics of Mathematics", ed. Ronald Calinger

Don't know how ancient you're looking for, but this is the textbook we used in the math history class I took as an undergrad. It's a very good starting point for studying the subject. Excerpts of classic papers ranging historically from A'h-mose to Poincare.
