"..Venezuela’s leftist President, Hugo Chavez, could cut off (oil) exports without harming his own domestic economy. In terms of ability and willingness to cause widespread harm to the United States, Chavez may be the single most dangerous enemy that America has today."

oookay then. forget Osama bin Laden.... this guy could make our gas expensive! AAARGH! A FATE WORSE THAN DEATH!
28774, Watch out now...

So: what is to be done? The coup, of course, has been the traditional American means for getting rid of Latin American leaders who forget their place in the natural order of things.

who forget their place in the natural order of things.

who forget their place in the natural order of things.

who forget their place in the natural order of things.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
28776, yea, i caught that too

my other highlights:

"If the United States can’t have Venezuelan oil, than no one can."

"Iraq wasn’t a war for oil. But that doesn’t mean that such a war wouldn’t be appropriate under certain conditions."

"Any nation which attempts to interfere with the American economy is committing an act of economic warfare against this country."

don't under estimate people with those views by thinking they are "stupid" or "don't understand".

they DO "understand"

they simply don't care.
28780, this is SUCH an important point

28781, it can be said that you have to "understand" to care

by saying that they dont care you're assuming they truly understand the situation, which they dont...although they might never change, i like to keep a little hope that someday they will, and that they have the capability to change, 'cause if you dont believe that, then the only other solution available to change the way things are is to "get rid" of "them," and by doing that we would be doing the same things theyre doing, and i dont know about you but i dont want to be like them, turning ourselves into the oppressors isnt the solution.
28784, The US already...

...tried to assassinate Chavez last year. (I can't stand American Media, sometimes)

That's why Chavez signed a trade deal with China through the BRIC Alliance (Brazil, Russia, India, China). His government no longer wants to be dependent on the falling US dollar, so they agreed to a deal with the largest economy in the world.

Chavez has been screaming about this for months. There's been a media black out on it.

...sorry, let me correct myself now...the fast growing economy in the world.

But if you combine China, Russia, India, Brazil, and their growing sphere's of influence, including South America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe, the US is looking pretty left out. Forget Europe's beef with America... the so called "Third World" is building coalitions that in the next ten years will rival the resources and power of the G-7.

Keep your eyes on who the US begins to have beef with China over.

...over 50% of our US Treasury Bills are owned by Japan and China, our ability to pull strings has and is demishing greatly. If they lose faith in the dollar bill at any point, there goes our ability to borrow, and don't let them decide to cash them bad boys in...economic crash.

The walls are caving in fast. Don't be fooled by all this talk of saving Social Security.

watch The Revolution Will Be Televised...
a documentary about the US Gov. forming a coup against Chavez...
they caught the entire act on film...
watch how the poor are yelling "it's the CIA, the CIA" after snipers attack a innocent crowd parading on behalf of Chavez...
it's unreal.
