when people try to appropriate (objective) history, i get to calling folks out.

when they try to tell me my ppl were nothing before europe entered the scene, i will challenge that.

likewise, i will challenge anyone who tries to say that african culture was/is somehow inferior by nature. or who claims that one diasporan is better than another. in my book, if you're black, you're african (c) peter tosh.

however, using faith as a battleground divides more than it unifies. within "our" community and outside of it. just look at what the right wing is doing to this country as we speak.

hell, if you *really* want to get technical, whether or not jesus was black has zilch to do with the deeper consequences of adhering to this philsophy/faith as a people. i'd rather build on that than what the man looked like.

imo, we can work this kind of thing out once we get our collective shit together. before then, jesus' blackness is a moot point.

just my two cents.
