one of the earliest ones i can remember:

i was in grade school, traveling w/my father to mississippi. it had to be like 9 or 10 at night, and daddy pulls into a mcdonald's b/c it's the only thing open and we needed grub.

so i jump out the car and go to the little playland b/c i see two other kids over there (and yeah, daddy said i could go play).

but they were paying no attention and since i was already used to being ignored b/c i was/am a bookworm, i amused myself on the slides.

until i heard one of them say:

"don't play with that nigger. she got aids."

mind you, this was the late 80's when aids awareness was really jumping off. and these are kids my age saying this shyt.

so i left. and told my father. and cried. until daddy said that i could anything and anyone i wanted b/c i was smart...and that sadly enough, those kids were too ignorant to realize what they were saying.

SO LOOK AT ME NOW, DAYUMIT!!! got me a college degree and a good job and lord only knows where y'all knuckleheads wound up...

but i ain't bitter or nuthin'. lol
