don't know where i fit in (i'm a harlem renaissance/smorgasboard ninja, myself), but this is dope.

i don't know that these are so much fringes, but archetypes. but damn if some of 'em ain't dead on.

you did leave out a couple, though:

the black economist -- always got a new get rich scheme to uplift folks, starting w/ himself. hustleman ish concocting amway in blackface.

i assume that some cats just wouldn't fit under the conscious umbrella no matter how hard you try (expertise), but what about cats like M2 that drop gems on certain aspects, but don't really fall into any of the traditional patterns... lifeboat conscious, where you gonna uplift your self and fam first. later for the rest of us woogies (c) baraka.

and the cultnats -- stay so entranced in culture (jazz, hip hop, film, whatever), that, apart from deconstruction, never DO anything?
