>WHAT ARE YOU DEDICATED TO? Educating others
>HOW DOES THIS MANIFEST IN YOUR >LIFE? Life work.
>WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO THIS? I had a great Sociology professor in undergrad and he must have seen my potential and pushed me to teach as a teaching assistant for two of his courses
>WHAT HELPS YOU? There isnothing more rewarding to hear from students that geat the point of what your teaching. Or you have students come back or you run into after a few semesters and talk your ear off about the what positive things they are doing. Or that they understand why I was so hard on them and appreciate what I'm trying to do.
>WHAT GETS IN THE WAY? 1,Usually my age. I'm very young compared to my colleages and from walking in the door I have to earn respect as a young man. 2.Being Jamaican. Most of the colleagers are not people of color and sometimes that still draws doubt of my knowledge from others.
>WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED SO FAR? Man there are so many. It's hard to just pick a few. I learn more lessons on a daily basis and I use each one to improve my profession.
>WHAT IS THE GREATEST JOY? Being able to impact someone's life in a positve way or at least having the opportunity to do that. Also provoking someone to think about new topics and new ways of anaylzing issues.
>WHAT IS THE GREATEST SORROW? Not getting my point to someone or loosing someone in the process and they don't ask me for help.
>WHAT KEEPS YOU GOING? People telling me what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong. My issue with being a perfectionist and always trying to improve myself. Trying out new ideas to stay refresh.
>WHAT'S NEXT? Finish this PhD and continue to tickle people's mind.
