maybe those enslaved black people saw the love of jesus christ despite the horrible acts that were being commitited against them. maybe they didnt worship because it was the "right thing to do." remember in amistad when the slaves began to see christs love by looking at biblical pictures, how jesus came to save everyone, PARTICUARLY the oppressed, the sick, the outkasts. and movies dont lie sooo...
