And do better research. A few of those names you listed are giving back (Tiger, Venus, Serena) and who knows what else people are doing.

The question for me is not what are they doing but what am I doing? I've been working full-time in community-based organizations and with youth for several years but I just recently realized that they were jobs. Personally, I was not giving back so I just signed up to be a Big Sister.

It's not about the money. Just because an athlete has lots of money does not mean they understand the value of service or giving back. Most people I know don't give back anything.
