language (though that's not a good way)
comments like this tend to be clues for whiteness:
"what's wrong with white people?"
"we're all the human race"
"white rappers get discriminated against in the hiphop community"
"my family never owned slaves"
"i'm not white...i'm (insert some european ethnicity)"

of course, none of these are surefire.

It just BES that way sometimes.
