"The darkest man is here the most highly esteemed and considered better than the others who are not so dark. Let me add that in every truth these people portray and depict their gods and their idols black and their devils white as snow. For they say that God and all the saints are black and the devils are all white. That is why they portray them as I have described."- Marco Polo, the Venetian traveller, who,in 1288 and 1293, went to Southern India and commented on one of the last Dravidian Empires: the Pandyan Kingdom.

The Origins of Indo-Europeans:

"The ferocity of nature in the Eurasian steppes, barrenness of those regions, the overall circumstances of material conditions, were to create instincts necessary for survival in such an environment. Here, Nature left no illusion of kindliness: it was implacable and permitted no neglilence; man must obtain his bread by the sweat of his brow. Above all, in course of a long, painful existence, he must learn to rely on himself alone, on his own possibilities. He could not indulge in the luxury of believing in a beneficient God who would shower down abundant means of gaining a livelihood: instead he would conjure up deities malevolent and cruel, jealous and spiteful: Zeus, Yahweh, among others."- Dr. Cheik Anta Diop in _The African Origin of Civilization_

Aryans (a group of Indo-Europeans):

"The native people of India (currently known as "Untouchables, Tribals and Backward Castes") were no Hindus. They were Animists-Nature Worshippers. Since India's Dalits were once autonomous tribal groups, each group was known by its own tribal name. the Aryans created "caste" out of these tribal divisions by hierarchically arranging them in ascending degrees of reverence and descending degrees of contempt. So the Black untouchables have hundreds of tribal names. Aryans based their whole philosophy on colour (varna). The ;natives are dark-skinned and the aryans lighter-skinned. So we can say the that the untouchables and tribals are India's "Blacks," and that India's black population is much more than the entire population of Europe. It is also the wold's largest Black population living outside of Africa."- from "The Black Untouchables of India: Reclaiming our African Identity and Cultural Heritage" by V.T. Rajshekar, an Indian journalist during the 80s
