I didn't say your posts weren't provocative. I think they often spark terrific dialogue, but my response was meant to be part of that dialogue. I should have spent more time on it. What I meant, and this is ALWAYS what I mean, is that when you use "these creatures vs. us" rhetoric, you're not winning. You're losing. That's just my opinion about how we're going to achieve widespread positive social change in our country. That's a sure way to fail, and I'm always going to check that rhetoric and that anger when I see it.

Yes, I agree. But sometimes hate comes along with it. My grandparents had some pretty deep-seated hate towards Germans. I couldn't stand it...wasn't getting us anywhere.
